Bleach can kill mold that grows on non porous surfaces like counter tops, glass, and bathtubs. It's the porous materials like wood, carpets, and drywall that can be a problem.

You see, bleach isn't able to penetrate these surfaces. This will then cause the surface mold to be killed, tricking people to believe that the bleach worked. Next thing you know the mold starts to regrow because the bleach can't fully penetrate these porous materials. With the summer season approaching soon, protecting ourselves from the extreme heat need to be considered. Most especially the elderly, children and overweight persons.  In order to prepare and prevent high heat temperatures to stay indoors with the air conditioning, pets should also be kept inside and mainly keep yourself hydrated with plenty of water.

St. Patrick's Day 5k Run in Redondo Beach

It's that time of the year again! Mark your calendars South Bay! The annual St. Patrick's Day 5k Run in Redondo Beach California is this Sunday...

So make sure you gather your family and friends and join us this Sunday March 17th, 2019 at 8am! The Southern California sun was taking a break, letting the thunderstorms take over in January and February. THE SUN IS BACK!!!    Don't miss out this weekend and soak up that sunlight with a run/walk at the St. Patrick's Day 5k run...

All participants will receive a St. Patrick’s Day Run t-shirt. There will be chip timing, age division awards and cash prizes to the top three overall male and female runners in the 5k run. All kids dash finishers receive medals too!

Keep pets safe

Pets are the new kids these days. They have become just as important as any family member to most of us, so why would you not have a plan of action set up for them in case of the unexpected.

Evacuations

While practicing fire escape or evacuation plans, be sure to include your pets. If an evacuation happens, don't leave pets behind as they can be lost or injured.

Identification

Most veterinary clinics and shelters have scanners that will read the microchip information to help find a pet's owner. Look into chipping your pets as it can be beneficial in the long run.
